第一條、 [辦法之訂定]

本辦法依本校大學學則訂定 

第二條、 [入學資格]

學生參加本所研究生入學考試或甄試通過後，取得入學資格。

第三條、 [修課]

一、本班學生完成必修、選修等各項課程，畢業前至少修習 45 個學分

(不含論文)。修習課程要求詳如附件。

二、成績不良或因其事故無法專心於學業者，應延長修業年限。

三、研究生可依相關規定抵免學分數，請參照本校規定之抵免辦法辦理。

第四條、 [指導教授]

本所專任教師均得擔任研究生論文指導教授。若有特殊需要請所外教授指導時，得請本所專任教師擔任共同指導，並需經該教師同意。學生應於入學後一年內確認指導教授。

第五條、 [論文計劃書口頭答辯]

一、本所以論文計劃書之口頭答辯方式代替資格考試。

二、論文計畫書之口頭答辯應於申請論文口試前半年開始進行。

三、論文計劃書之口頭答辯通過後，始得進行申請論文口試。

第六條、 [論文口試]

一、學生申請論文口試應依學校規定辦理。

二、學生申請論文口試應經指導教授同意，於口試前一星期繳送足夠之論文份數予所辦及口試委員。

三、論文口試應由口試委員會為之，每篇論文口試委員會由校內外具口試委員資格者三至五人組成，其中指導教授以外之校外委員，至少應有一人，口試委員會名單由指導教授提供。

四、論文口試須經口試委員全體一致通過，且平均達七十分為及格。

口試及格後，由本所向學校推薦授予碩士學位。

第七條、 [實施與修正]

本細則未規定事項，悉依本校學程辦理。本細則經執行單位所務會議通過，經院長審核，院務會議備查，教務處核備後實施，修正時亦同。

Article 1. The Regulations

The present regulations are established according to National Tsing Hua University Regulations

Article 2. Admission Qualifications

Qualifying for admission is dependent on the graduate school (the Institute of Technology Management) entrance examination or by passing the screening admission. 

Article 3. Curriculum Planning

1. Students are required to complete compulsory and elective courses, and to take at least 45 credits
(excluding thesis) before graduation. Please refer to the attached file for curriculum planning.

2. Students who have poor performance or are unable to concentrate on their studies should plan to have an extension of their degree program timeline.

3. Graduate students can apply for credit transfer in accordance with the relevant regulations, please refer to the credit transfer method stipulated by the University.

Article 4. The Advisor

All full-time faculty members of the institute can serve as dissertation advisors. If students ask for advisors from other institutes, a full-time teacher at the Institute of Technology Management must be invited to serve as a co-advisor, and the consent of the co-advisor shall be obtained. Students should confirm the advisor within one year after enrollment.

Article 5. The Dissertation Proposal

1. The dissertation proposal's oral presentation is used instead of the qualifying exam.

2. Complete the dissertation proposal at least 6 months before the dissertation defense.

3. Students who passed the dissertation proposal are allowed to apply for the dissertation defense.

Article 6. The Dissertation Defense

1.Application for the dissertation defense shall be implemented in accordance with the regulations of the school.

2.Students applying for the dissertation defense shall submit enough copies of the dissertation to the office and the oral examination committee one week before the dissertation defense with the consent of the advisor.

3.The dissertation defense shall be conducted by the oral examination committee, which shall be composed of three to five persons who are qualified as oral examination members from faculty and outside the university, of which at least one external member other than the advisor shall be included, and the list of the oral examination committee shall be provided by the advisor.

4.The dissertation defense must be unanimously passed by the oral examination committee with an average of 70 points. After passing the dissertation defense, the institute shall grant Ph.D's degrees.

Article 7. Implementation and Amendment

Matters not specified in these regulations shall be implemented in accordance with the rules of the University. The present regulations shall be implemented following approvals of meetings of executive units as well as the authorization of the dean, and followed by reviewal by the faculty and the Academic Affairs Office. The same procedure shall be carried out when amendments are to be made.
